Dogs are in our blood
John's great grandparents were showing rough collies in the early 1920's ,it skipped a generation and I took up the baton ,
I bred my 1st litter of roughs when I was a teenager ,I was lucky enough to be educated into the world of roughs by Tom Wall of the renowned Fellview collies .
He was a great teacher one of the old school, never minced his words and you learned quickly ,over the years I learned how to show,groom ,assess dogs and litters of pups
His outstanding collies were a pleasure to behold ,and I often get a glimpse of them in our own collies who are descended from his excellent bloodlines
On leaving school I became a veterinary nurse,working for a very forward thinking Vet well ahead of his time,
In 1975 I decided to go to Bellmead to learn kennel management, famous for its Dandie Dinmont Terriers, time well spent, I still try to maintain their high standards.
The next 17 years were spent running boarding kennels,vet nursing ,farming still showing and breeding Roughs and Irish Wolfhounds under the "Roscot" affix
John was born in 1993 and was brought up surrounded by dogs cats, horses various other stock and wildlife in rehabilitation,he fitted right in .
Life at that time didn't leave room for showing dogs ,my friend Sheila took up the challenge.
A new breed entered our lives the australian shepherd and we decided to take out a new affix and the IMPENZIE Kennel was born, eventually as John has grown up I have managed to get back to the show ring , I needn't have worried Sheila was doing a cracking job.
Though he has always been animal orientated John didn't catch the show bug until a couple of years ago having made an excellent start with his own choice of a smooth collie,he decided he wanted his own affix remembering my own youth I have supported him in this ," Loreal" joined the his kennel in December 2008 and the first TRIFORCE litter was born,
I am pleased to say fellow breeders are being very generous with John giving him their time and advice ,& he has the added bonus of DNA testing an extremely useful tool to improve the health of the dogs ,
TRIFORCE'S future is looking bright ,
